Record Exchange and Celebration

Commissioned for the The Event 2009 Arts festival
Record exchange and Celebration ran for four days as part of Festival. Acting as a would be homage to record exchange shops especially Birmingham Based exchanges such as the diskery and the record and tape exchange. The exchange became a place to exchange cultural dialogue attracted by the festival audience for contemporary beatnik cohorts.
It also functioned as a place where people could spend time deciphering in some attempt to define culture through informal 'exchange culture' discourse.
It is also Fragranced by contemporary journals, books and fanzines and artist publications.
